If your name is based on the fact that they are the rightful owners. They are both their name on it? This land belongs to them jointly.

You need to talk to a lawyer.

As the owner to be entitled to half the value of the property, unless the groom something in writing that it shows that less is entitled to have.

Tell your friends to sign something and you immediately get a lawyer.

If your name is, in fact, it should be up to half the value. Make half the mortgage payments.
